We are a group of young people who are working in collaboration to preserve our remarkable culture and tradition through a regular dancing, and singing songs in our native (Dinka) language. We want to promote our cultural dance by participating in any community events. We are facing a lot of challenges in relation to clashed of cultures and dilemma of identity, but we want to bring better understanding of our culture and tradition by embracing our identity. We use our cultural dance to celebrate ourselves and share it with other Australian. Our regular dance teach our young kids who were born outside South Sudan to embrace their cultural identity and to be proud of who they are. Dinka traditional Dance bring all South Sudanese youth together and this socialization always promote peace and unity among young people. We will continue to promote our cultural dance and maintain it for our future generations.
Objectives:
Preserve our culture/tradition for future generation
Maintain our language through singing songs in our native language
Teach our culture to young kids who were born or grew up outside South Sudan and to engage them in social activity
Free exercise and fitness for young people.
To provide entertainment to young people and the community at large
